Finance Project Manager

Location: Omaha, NE, United States
Magnum Search Group has partnered with a leading manufacturer of heavy equipment. Together we are in search of a Finance Project Manager for their location in Omaha, NE. Position Summary: Responsible for the Americas Region covering from Canada to Latin America. The role will support the Area finance team covering a variety of typical finance initiatives with a clear focus on but not limited to: reporting, analysis, planning, project management and presentation/material creation.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Overall support of regional finance, accounting and treasury organization
  • Regional financial planning and analysis, reporting  (monthly results, SEP, RP, TVM, DCF, ad hoc)
  • Support improvement and compliance of Company internal controls system
  • Financial audit support
  • Legal reporting, case management
  • Presentation development (SC meetings, external partners, ad hoc)
  • HR/Benefits/commercial insurance controlling
  • Area IC charging
  • Profit improvement planning (PIP) management
  • Manage improvement projects in the finance area
  • Assist with budget planning and monitoring
  • Assist in the preparation of financial or regulatory reports required by laws, regulations, and PNAR management
  • Monitor fundamental economic, industrial, and corporate developments by analyzing information from financial publications and services, investment banking firms, government agencies, trade publications, company sources, or personal interviews
  • Draw charts and graphs, using computer spreadsheets, to illustrate technical reports
  • Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards.
  • Prepare or direct preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, or reports required by regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborates with other departments on key performance improvement projects to provide analytic subject matter expertise and create reporting toolsets for external/internal use.
  • Oversees the translation of business requirements into specifications that will be used to implement the required reports and dashboards, created from potentially multiple data sources.
  • Oversees the interpretation of data sources, manage large amounts of data and merge data sources together while ensuring consistency of data sets.
  • Oversees the development of data models to perform statistical analysis, data mining and retrieval process of large amounts of data to identify trends, figures and other pertinent information valuable to the stakeholders 
Requirements:
  • >5 years’ professional experience in progressive finance/accounting roles
  • Strong analysis, process and systems capabilities (SAP, MS Excel, OTC, PTP, etc.)
  • Proven project management experience
  • Strong understanding of time value of money, discounted cash flow analysis and ability to develop related analyses
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and IFRS
  • Bachelors Finance/accounting/business (advance degrees and certificates a plus)
  • Self-starter and ability to drive results with limited supervision at times
  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate effectively within all levels of organization
  • Awareness and ability to excel in multicultural environment
  • Can do attitude and desire/ability to learn new skills and experiences
  • English language mastery (German, Portuguese, Spanish, other a plus)
